Air Travel Timeline

During the air travel experience, there is a compression that the traveler goes through as they move through the air travel experience. They begin outside and as they step into the terminal, through the concourse, to the gate, onto the jetway, into the airplane and finally into their seat, their world has become considerably more compact. The frustrations and anxieties of traveling can be intensified by this experience.

Serene Stream is an environment that lifts the traveler above the chaos of the airport concourse and delivers them to their gate on time and in a relaxing manner. The Serene Stream connects the traveler with the outside world through large curved floor to ceiling glass surfaces. The panoramic views perceptually enlarge the travelers’ world before they spend the next few hours in a small airplane seat, making the experience more enjoyable. It is my assertion that by shifting the travelers experience prior to boarding the plane, we can effect the experience they have on the plane.
