Artist
Statement
I make art that deals with
the realities and strangeness of
my daily life. I have given pep
talks to strangers and performed
interventions as a self-appointed
“artist-in-residence”
in front of homes near where I grew
up in suburban San Jose. In these
projects I am hoping to create a
relationship with others as I struggle
with my own identity through objecting
to and celebrating the culture in
which I live.
