Artist Statement
Allison Rowe’s sculptures and installations investigate geographic ownership, responsibility and power. Her artworks use humor and a make-do domestic aesthetic to question and personalize political discourse. Her public space and gallery occupations simultaneously invite interaction, play and discomfort.
